Expatriate health insurance owners are finding out a way to know if they are at risk for developing Alzheimer’s disease. Research has shown that this way of risk prediction is done through a brain scan.
According to studies in the area of Neurology, the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease is largely connected to thinner areas, or regions, in the cortex of the brain. Individuals who also suffer from recent memory problems are also likely to develop the disease.
Scientists and researchers involved in the study were able to arrive at this conclusion by analyzing 159 members, who are around 76 years old. The patients were not currently suffering from dementia.
This kind of health information is always useful to the public, especially to those expatriate health insurance owners.
